Regardless…

They sang and stared
then they sang again,
but did not hear.
The fear they felt
was way beyond any known.

But this most foul
and so strange a sight
brought the tears flooding
onto unsuspecting crowds.

For here, high up on hallowed ground
the Lord’s most reverenced angels gathered
on this Earth once beautiful –
they mourned its loss immense.

And shame
of such an enormous burden
fell upon man – his disgrace.

God, how futile man is
on such as grand an empire life is.

And yet in honesty claimed
the soul did try its best,
but greed in such an overwhelming crowd
failed to be recognising the good inside.

And hence violence and despair,
loathing and anguish,
sorrow and disdain
took him out and into this crowd –
and all that was left – be damned.

No-one has the answer

Somehow
the weather of life changes
preventing our desired pattern to prevail.

Somehow
the weather provides a sheltered effect,
camouflaged or protective mechanism.
But in the main we are who we are.

Choice is ours,
weather is only a gauge
of what our natural desires contain.
But who really brings the rain
and sunshine into our lives?

Who insists we grow, develop and learn…
is it from within that natural order of life?
Or are we, like the weather,
unable to know clearly until the snow falls,
the rain drops and the sun shines?

No one has the answer.
God does…
And who or whom or what is God?

They did little to save the land

They did little to save the land
from the devastation
and desperate state of affairs.

They came and went and tried,
but no chance it had all gone well before.
And now the evidence ever so clear
man was doomed to end his life
without any form of wealth,
let alone fresh clean air.

God help them in the plundering ways
the devil has in mind,
but oh such a waste dear God
of what you so beautifully had placed
for man to endure the harshest of ways
followed always by the beauty the eye entailed.

But now by God
the devil plans to usurp us of it all.
The greedy few, the one percent
lost everything they saw
as was the way of those devilish players
into which the world only carries the burden
of what is now no more.

To take the advantage of saving
some form of space to reflect
can in fact carry weight
beyond what is thought by man.

For in this world of hardship to come
that source may be forever all man has in store.

The earth is heavily burdened

Come to me they cried.
Come to me once more
the Earth is heavily burdened.
And I am not free to assist,
but there hidden deep within
the scar of the past cried out in pain…

Shelter not you foolish child
the world of Earth needs your support.

No time for idleness and play
for here upon the ground
I see the death of man.

No more time to be at peace
while the violence on the Earth remains.

So much humiliation,
man tends to deny his greatest need
to bow before the altar of his life
given to be explored endlessly.

Oh God, the devil gone from man,
but hindered by the western greed
came back so suddenly.

And in his haste he failed to see his call –
to become a man of pride
and deny the gluttony of man’s making,
that of endless desire.

And now I come and see my place
to rid my soul of pain.
And in that task I find myself
in a more actively engaged way
to do for God the proper call …
to be respectful of all humankind.

The aftermath of capitalism gone awry

It’s hell down here I cannot escape
my burden is far overdue for a release.

Long ago I swore I would envelop the Lord,
but swallowed a pill of greed instead.

So here, in the aftermath of capitalism gone awry
I lost my mind as greed over-ruled
any good sense I had of fair play and right.

My mind is set, the compass glued
I have no clear guidance here
swallowed by a sense of power
I lost and now declare …

The devil life is not the course
to value all human life and care –
that each and every step I took
was one closer to here in a Devil’s lair.
