Carry me forth

Carry me forth into a land of naught.
No arguments.
No strife.
No warring men.
No man and wife criminal deceit.
No substitute for love as lust.

I want to breathe the purity
of no more hateful greedy western views.
About:
who is a religious fundamental few,
who is right when wrong,
who prefers guns and shoots on sight,
ask questions to a bullet riddled corpse,
who sings and proclaims Biblical terms,
liberty and then blame.

Neither right nor clear.
Shoot at will and then satisfy
democracy for all
whether wanted or approved.

Solace, calm, equality
peace on earth for all
and loveliness, beauty,
peace-filled spaces
families, friends
relax and rest.

Peace and thoughtfulness
a mind of substance
creatively expressed.

The divine enters mindfulness.

Are we truly, genuinely free

Poll this way.
Poll that way.
Poll another way.
What then, the toll on them?

Who decide not to go along
with those who are
to toll the bells for war?

And of those who oppose
where then, are they to go?
Safe, secure without harm.

Are we truly, genuinely free?
Or just do toll democracy –
hypocritically?

Take care
that poll may toll on you.
No more secure
but bugged and tagged.
No freedom
but N.S.A. on your tail.

What sort of liberty?
Ask again
who tolls what, on your behalf?
Is it good or bad?
Does it include nuclear war?
Or peace and harmony, equality –
value for humanity?

Terror begets terror

Terror begets terror.
There appears no other way around
what is in effect a personal dilemma
as hate begins and ends with dismay.

Why does it arise?
Where does it end?
Who has the answers?
What if anything
does in the end achieve?

More hate and horror
fixated upon death.
More upon the innocent.
So, what then?

Birth defects.
Untenable deaths.
Polluted mindsets.
Rivers and waterways under siege.

How on earth does it happen
when each is a life
of equal understanding?

That life, all life cannot be relieved
when a death and injury
cannot again, as the whole
ever again be retrieved.
