What type of prediction

What type of worth
when the oil depletes?
Gold a common exchange,

human beings starving.
Greed no longer a monetary treat.
I say to a wise woman about to give birth,
‘What are your predictions?’
And she does insistently retort.
Health, safe delivery, all okay.
Number of fingers and toes
in the right order and way.
clean and comfortable life style.
Free from harm and injury
while she has that important role
to respect the gift of life.
The newness and potential
to protect and favour
for the rest of her natural life.
So, where are the birthing brigade?
Protecting the innocence of life.
Future’s potential, for their natural life.
As war and violence,
the way of the gun brigade
prefer killing as a way to parade.
So much damage,
out of control.
Life no longer safe
and sacredly maintained.
And of our future
when nuclear is sprouted
as a way to maintain
control over an enemy
we sell to and barter with
night times over
in the cell of secrecy
the terrorists claim.
But are they not us
as we give our worth away?
