The value of an army- is powerful stuff
fight at will
the winner a hero
the booty immense.
But fail to be a winner
then the race is on
to find an excuse
death the best
But who is the victim – to be crucified
to make amends
for all that money spent and worse
the people dying – wounded in part
and most of them dead.
But this is not a problem –
collateral is evident anywhere you look.
This that is troubling
is to find a reason to begin over again
to claim that booty – endlessly.
corporate beggars – never,
the wealthy breed
as flies in disease.
To make them,
those lobbyists and corporate fees
war is the ideal compensation from political ideals.
No such avenue available on the street
man works hard
his woman at home or part time job
can’t meet the payment
no war earnings abundant
over and over for them. –
Taxes high
mortgage repayment steep
no way out
but the winner dead
as dead to them.

Take a step back
and look at your world,
the political and corporate greed.
Take a note and send it
to the Wall Street crowd
for in your march, they are
who you need to be heard.
