Mighty winds are blowing

Mighty winds are blowing,
I cannot see how far away they are
but what I sense is a feeling of fear.

Soft as I may tread the daily grind of survival
angry hoards are marching
violent in their step
and I know from past experience
that is war
of which kind I am unsure
as this wild storm brings dust foul,
radiation fall out. Wow!

Who has perpetrated this crime?
Supposedly the Russians, Chinese
or foreign power,
however let us not forget
who and what we have – and in whose hands,
this violent storm is perhaps ours.

Catastrophe looming

Catastrophe looming
I feel it in my bones
no hope of stopping
that awful hideous flow,
but then we are to blame
each and everyone of us
who chose to be ignorant
and deny the obvious decades ago.

Be ignorant.
Yours is to manifest and fear the game
hence wars abundant
and like a drone
you blame the game on someone else
never look toward yourself
but hide inside your prison-like sanctuary
so to me you now have to decide –

Face up to your fears
or be buried in the crush.

Wake up

Horrible isn’t it we all have to lie.
Lie as if normal to exist
well even that is itself a lie.
Most people of goodness
come out and parade their woes
those of life’s hardship
hitting out at their community’s social loss.
And I am no different,
but my cry is more one of shame
for I left the good life and now bunker driven
for my life source is out there hung and dried.

Greed and liars

How can I be
an honourable soul
as greedy men prance by
clad in the finest,
a house I could buy?

God help the innocent

God help the innocent
what are they to do
as a country such as ours
declared upon their sanity
destruction, mayhem,
losses unbeknown as yet.

But what a fascinating argument
to ask those devils why
in the name of what reason
‘conquer’ is such a vital cry.

Surely not the bounty
surely not their prize.
Who gains – not I the foot soldier
more the banner on a large house
and those formidable destructive pals.

God help them
when their party of destruction is over
and an enemy now they have achieved
as when they, this present enemy,
arises from despair
theirs will be a reckoning
and we be the ones
their guns are to set, aim and fire.
